Leading Edge Coatings is growing across the Mountain West. Whether you're looking to join the crew or partner with us as a subcontractor, here's what working with us looks like.
Floor coating and concrete polishing is skilled, satisfying work. You start the day with a rough slab and end it with something that looks genuinely great and lasts for decades. If you take pride in doing things right and want to grow with a company that's expanding into larger commercial and government projects, read on.
We don't cut corners on surface preparation. You'll be trained to grind properly, test for moisture, and do the job the way it should be done — not the fast way.
We run a tight schedule. When we say a job starts Monday, it starts Monday. You'll know your schedule in advance and we respect your time the same way we respect our clients'.
We're expanding into larger commercial and government contracts. Crew members who perform well and want more responsibility get it — lead positions, larger projects, and more complex installs.
We run professional-grade CPS equipment and specification-quality products. You'll learn to use equipment that most small operators don't have — skills that make you more valuable anywhere in the trades.
Work alongside experienced crew on residential garage floors, commercial spaces, and industrial facilities. You'll learn surface preparation, coating application, decorative flake systems, and polyaspartic topcoats. No experience required — the right attitude matters more than a resume. We train from the ground up.
Operate CPS diamond tooling and floor grinding equipment on commercial and industrial polished concrete projects. Experience with floor preparation, densifiers, and polishing sequences is preferred but we'll train the right candidate. Projects include government buildings, warehouses, and retail spaces across the Mountain West.
Lead a small crew on commercial and government flooring projects. Responsibilities include reading project specifications, directing surface preparation, quality control during coating application, client communication on-site, and documenting work for government contracts. Must have 2+ years of epoxy or polished concrete installation experience.
We're growing and our needs evolve. If you have skills in concrete preparation, floor coating, equipment operation, or trades work generally and you're interested in what we do — send us your information anyway. We keep good people in mind when the right position opens up.
No formal application process — just fill this out and we'll be in touch. If you've got a resume or photos of your work, email them to us directly and reference the position you're interested in.
As we grow into larger commercial and government contracts, we work with subcontractors and trade partners who share our standards. We're not looking for the cheapest option — we're looking for the right one.
All subcontractors must carry current general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and be properly licensed for the work they perform. Certificates are required before any project begins — no exceptions, particularly on government and commercial work.
We specify the right prep, the right products, and the right process on every project. Subcontractors work to our specifications and quality standards — not their own shortcuts. If you're used to cutting corners, this isn't the right fit.
Many of our projects are in government facilities, aerospace supplier plants, and large commercial spaces. Experience working in these environments — with the access, scheduling, and documentation requirements they bring — makes for a much smoother partnership.
Our clients — including government agencies and prime contractors — hold us to strict schedules. We need subcontractors who show up when they say they will, communicate problems early, and don't disappear when things get complicated.
For subcontractor roles on federal projects, SAM.gov registration and a current UEI are required. If you're not registered and you're interested in government work, we can point you in the right direction — the process is straightforward.
References from commercial or government clients you've worked with, photos of completed projects, and any manufacturer certifications you hold all strengthen a partnership application. We vet subcontractors before we bring them onto client projects.
Depending on the project and your capabilities, subcontractor relationships with Leading Edge might include:
Diamond grinding, shot blasting, and coatings removal on large-area projects where additional capacity is needed.
Applying specified coating systems under our supervision on commercial and industrial projects with tight timelines.
Polishing and densifying large commercial slabs where production rates require additional crews and equipment.
Concrete repair, joint work, and related trade services that support our flooring scope on larger projects.
